Post Great lakes Comic Con

WOW! That word sums up the awesomeness that was the Great Lakes Comic Con. I've been doing their shows the last 5 years, and they just get better. From a small VFW hall to taking over the Macomb Community College Expo center the last couple years they have built a great comic convention in the metro Detroit area. And it comes at a great time of year, the end of February.

This year I was asked to supply the artwork for the badges, which was a huge honor. Those that came up I was more than happy to autograph theirs. If your reading this and did not get your's signed bring it with you to one of my future shows and I will sign it for you.

Highlights of the show. Many, but mostly the chance to see all the fans I've been lucky enough to get to know over the last several years. Seeing my compatriots in the comic book world. Artists and writers like Paul Storrie, Jesse Ruebenfeld, Tony Miello, Jay Brant and many others just to name a few that I had the chance to talk to. Being a busy show takes away time to catch up with people but it's great to have those few minutes. I also for about 10 seconds got to see my friend, and actress with her new movie Horse Camp out on dvd now. She costars with Dean Cain of the Lois and Clark superman show of the 90's. How cool is that, a home town girl making it in movies. She should be at the Motor City Comic Con in May and Dean Cain will also be there. As will yours truly.

The Great Lakes Comic Con was all around a great show, and I will be back there again next year February 26, 27 2016. Yep, It's already on my schedule.

I've got a whole slew of conventions coming up this spring, the list is on my website www.brettpinson.com

Coming up next March 13-15th will be the Lexington Comic & toy Convention in Lexington Kentucky. Last year was my first year doing their show, and they did not disappoint. Friday night is a limited ticket preview night, 1000 tickets to be exact. But Saturday and Sunday is open to alot more. Almost 20,000 last year. Plenty to see and do, but most importantly as I see it is to come see me under the Fantastic Storytyme name with my partner in comics Kevin Leen. Tables 610-612, smack dab in the middle of the main floor.

Also this month will be the Gem City Comic Con. March 28-29 on the campus of Wright State University at the Nutter Center Dayton Ohio. Always a great show, It never disappointing in all the years we've been doing this fun show. Jesse who runs the show always is a class act.

To wrap things up, i'm working on Boomtown Scabs 5, some new prints and a few other things. I am open for commissions, $50 starting gets you an original pencil drawing and the fully colored print of the character of your choice. Email me at pinson.brett@gmail.com for details and an exact quote on your request.

Until next time, take care and be well.

Your Pal,
Brett
