End of 2016

Well 2016 is coming to an end. I am currently working on a new Boomtown scabs and will be posting pics soon. Next year will be a different year for me as I am not doing some conventions i've done before and I am adding some new ones. If you don't see me at a show you normally do, don't fret i'm still around and may be back. Until next time, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I'm also doing bundles, i have a few on the store but if you message me at pinson.brett@gmail.com I can put a custom bundle of any 3 prints $25 plus shipping. All orders ship the next business day via the United States Post Office priority mail. US Customers Only!

I haven't blogged in a while but I have been busy with shows and some side work. I've got a few shows left this year next up is the Cincinnati Comic Expo September 23-25.

As I continue through this year I'm changing how I do some things. One is if you spend $20 on my comics/graphic novels you get an 11x17 print. Going forward I'm going to start working more and more on my creator owned properties such as more Boomtown Scabs, The Adventures of Carl and more. I Hope those that follow me here will come see me at shows and support me as I continue creating comics and graphic novels and more.

What's coming up?

Hey everyone, I'm fresh back from Denver. Prior to that I was in Orlando and Phoenix. I had fun at all 3 shows, saw people I only get to see there and that is always great.

Now what is coming up?

More work on Boomtown Scabs 5, my goal is to get this finished and in my hands for the September shows. That includes working on putting them all into a trade collection as well.

Also, On June 27th 2016 I will be on the motownmojolive.com podcast as one of their guests. If your not busy from 7 to 9 pm hop on line and take a listen, I don't know what will be said but i'm sure it will be entertaining.

Now for other business, Commissions. Who wants a commission? $50 commissions and you get the original pencils and the finished color print. Email me at pinson.brett@gmail.com tell me what you want. Typically this is for 1 character but I do try to keep all commissions reasonable when I can make prints of it and offer them at shows. So if you want something with more than one character, email me and I will work it out. Also its not to early to start thinking about Christmahanakwanzaa gifts. Yep I help you celebrate whichever one you want. Please allow a few weeks for me to complete any commissions, and if you need it by a certain date let me know.

After Megacon and Phoenix, headed to Denver.

I sometimes wonder if anyone reads these. I'm not a great blogger where I blog multiple times a month. In reality I barely do it once a month with missing some here and there. Missing them doesn't mean I don't think about writing them. I hope to become better but it will take time.

As for now, I've been home a week from the whirlwind trip that was Megacon and Phoenix. Being home meant rest and retooling for the Denver show. I'm headed out tomorrow with anticipation of being there Thursday and setting up. The show runs Friday through Sunday and if you don't have your tix, I hear the 3 day tix are sold out but single day ones are available.

After I return from Denver I plan to jump back into pencil work on Boomtown Scabs 5 with the intention of getting it all penciled and mostly inked and colored by the end of July. Will I make it? we will just have to wait and see. Also i've decided to work on a coloring activity book centered around my characters. I'm pondering making it part storybook part coloring book part activity book. I want it to be fun and not just capitalize on the craze that is coloring books. ;-)

Here we come Megacon and Phoenix

Greetings all,

Well to start, Motor City Comic Con was as every year a great show. I love this show. It always brings out fans i've made over the years as well as a chance to see many friends, some who told me I was their first stop when they got there.

The Adventures of Carl collection went over well, i'm bringing some to Megacon next weekend May 26-29 at the Orange county convention center. I will also have my art and Boomtown Scabs comics, though I'm low right now on issues 2 and 3.

Following Megacon I'm headed to Phoenix for the Phoenix comic con. I hope everyone I met last year comes out and says hi again. I will have what ever books I have left as well as art.

I still continue work on Scabs 5 and hope to have that ready and printed by the fall. This has been a fun challenge for me as I have not illustrated a full issue before. I hope when it comes out everyone likes it.

Well this is short and sweet but back to work before I head to the shows.
